The Thames Philharmonic Choir perform Bach’s Christmas Oratorio
Celebrate the festive season and rediscover the wonder of Bach's Christmas Oratorio in the beautiful setting of Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square. Performed with TPC's distinctive warmth and energy, this concert marks our first performance at this wonderful venue, and we'd be delighted to welcome you there.
For many people, Christmas wouldn’t feel complete without a performance of Bach’s much loved Christmas Oratorio. Its opening cry, “Jauchzet, frohlocket!” - “Shout for joy, rejoice!” sets a jubilant tone for the season and we'd love to share our performance, led by our prize-winning conductor Harry Bradford, with you. Our performance will include Parts 1, 2, 3 and 6 and we will be joined by a wonderful line‑up of soloists, including our former Bass Scholar Allyn Wu, and Endelienta Baroque, a talented ensemble of young performers playing historical instruments, who joined us for our unforgettable performance of Bach’s B Minor Mass in 2023.
