Inspired by Putney Society Meeting on "Modern Architecture in Putney & Roehampton" held in 2019, we have designed six self-guided walks which you can take to view interesting Putney and Roehampton buildings which you may love or loathe! 

The walks are compiled by local geographic area - they cover East Putney, Putney Heath, Upper Richmond Road West, Roehampton Lane, the Embankment and Church Sq to the River Wandle.

The Roehampton Walks are a set of five walking trails in and around the heart of Roehampton published in summer 2025 by Wandsworth Council.

The trails feature historic buildings, striking architecture, monuments and beautiful open spaces to explore, learn and enjoy.

Each walk has a map and photos of sights along the route.

Did you know, Alton Estate has featured as a backdrop to films and TV programmes including Fahrenheit 451, The Sweeney and Minder?
