United Nations Association - Misogyny and the AI Revolution
United Nations Association Wandsworth - Public Meeting Misogyny and the AI Revolution
Speaker: Dr Aislinn O’Connell Associate Professor, Department of Law and Criminology, Royal Holloway, University of London
Tuesday May 5th 7.30 pm.
Examining the negative impact AI can have on women. Resulting in the reduction of the status of women and increased violence against women. Ranging from creation of sex dolls, sexualised content on social media platforms, practices such as AI enhanced imagery, texting and sexting, revenge pornography, misogynist influencers -the list goes on and on. AI was not deliberately designed to belittle women - more a question of lack of thought and now a lack of legislation.
Community Church Putney, Werter Rd, London SW15 2LL The talk will be followed by Q&A - tea and biscuits.
