Tunes at Noon

Tunes@Noon, at All Saints, Putney have four half-hour concerts organised by Alex Turner, All Saints' Director of Music in April to July.

The first concur on 19th April will be given by local pianist Robert Bridge.

Mozart: the sonata in D major, K.576, the last sonata he wrote, a seemingly effortless display of compositional mastery, with a luminous slow movement and a finale that spills off the page like a cascade of birdsong.

Liszt: two evocative postcards from the Swiss volume of his travel diaries, the Années de Pélerinage - Au Lac de Wallenstadt and Au Bord d'une Source - and fiendishly difficult Mephisto Waltz, a musical re-enactment of a scene from Goethe's Faust.

Free admission, half an hour or so of music, and a retiring collection in aid of the All Saints’ Organ Campaign
