Putney Library - Talk Dr Nicola Stacey, Director of the Heritage of London Trust

A Free talk on Wednesday 22 May at Putney Library, hosted by the Friends of Putney Library.

Dr Nicola Stacey, Director of the Heritage of London Trust, will tell us about the wide range of past projects in Wandsworth Borough and one about to begin.

HOLT is London’s independent heritage charity, set up in 1980 by the Greater London Council to rescue historic buildings and monuments, focusing on heritage at risk. It is 100% independently funded.

Recent projects in Putney include restoration of the painted glass windows in the Romanesque Putney Community Church and reinstatement of the Assembly Room stained glass windows at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability.

One of their current London-wide programmes is the restoration of 11 historic drinking water fountains and they have another 15 currently under restoration.

The talk will begin at 6.30 pm, refreshments from 6.00.

Please reserve your place by email to charlene.coleman@gll.org or phone 020 8780 3085
