Local knowledge wanted! How well do you know Putney & Roehampton?

Posted on Jul 01, 2017

As you may know a National List of England's special places, which range from buildings to postboxes, is maintained by Historic Enland.   The purpose is to record and describe places which are an important part of our National heritage and the List currently includes many buildings and structures in Putney & Roehampton.  You can see four examples in the photograph below.

Many entries on the National Heritage List for England are brief and out of date. Enriching the List is a virtual volunteering project launched by Historic England to share images and insights of England's special places, and capture them for future generations.

Can you help The Putney Society ENRICH THE LIST for local entiries?

We want to

  •    o   add to the listing descriptions for some 63 nationally designated buildings and structures in Putney and Roehampton

  •    o    make the SW15 List more comprehensive, relevant and up to date

The Putney Society is formally registered to submit additional content - please click HERE for more details of what is needed to Enrich the List and how you can help.

Please contact the Putney Society Buildings Panel, c/o katepugh4@gmail.com, with any enquiries or contributions to this effort.

You can see from the four examples shown below that the List is very wide-ranging!
