Event Date: Jun 05, 2017

As part of Wandsworth Heritage Festival 2017, the Putney Society has organised a talk by Dorian Gerhold on "The Industries of Wandsworth, Battersea and Putney" at 19:30 on Monday 5th June in the Community Church, Werter Road, Putney

The talk will cover the Borough's many and varied industries from medieval times to the present day.   It will include the industries that grew up in and around the Wandle River from the 17th century and along the Thames in Battersea from the 18th, the many industrial pioneers and the recent decline in industrial activity.

The meeting is open to all.   A £3 donation from non-members of the Society to cover costs would be welcome.
