Heathrow - Public Meeting at 7 pm on Wednesday 20th February in Community Church, Werter Road, SW15 2LL

Event Date: Feb 20, 2019

There will be a public meeting organised by Justine Greening MP on Wednesday 20th February at 7pm in the Community Church, Werter Road, SW15 2LL to discuss various topics relating to the future operation of Heathrow affecting Putney & Roehampton.

1 Consultation on Heathrow Airspace and Future Operations:   (For more details please see the item under the NEWS tab)  Note: Heathrow are proposing an additonal 25,000 additional flights per year, 68 per day, even before a third runway is built.

2  Aviation 2050: The future of UK aviation:  The Dept for Transport (DfT) has issued a Green Paper which outlines proposals for a new aviation strategy.  The Green Paper proposes adding capacity and seeks to establish a framework for additional runways across the UK.  It assumes that the Heathrow 3rd runway will be built and does not rule out a 4th runway.

3  Drones Risk:  What can be done to minimise a possible risk to public safety?

4 Heathow Expansion Tranparency:     A number of recent Freedon of Information (FoI) requests put to the DfT as to how some of the decisions were taken about the expansion of Heathrow have been refused and there is concern about the lack of tranparency around such an important matter.
