- updated information In this issue: A 'snap shot' of the current Bulletin We're Looking for a New Chair Our present Chair, Steffi Sutters, will be standing down at the AGM in March 2010 and we are looking for someone to succeed her. It is virtually impossible to write a precise job description, but the candidate should ideally have experience of dealing with local issues and have good leadership and administrative qualities. He or she will keep an eye on the activities of our four panels - Buildings, Community, Open Spaces and Transport - and, normally, chair the meetings of the Executive Committee and Administrative Sub Committee, on issues affecting local residents. There are many opportunities for The Society. Recently, we have contributed to the debates on the proposed high-rise buildings on Upper Richmond Road (currently in abeyance), road and rail transport, the regeneration proposals for Roehampton, improvements to the High Street, pollution from the roads and from the skies, the Putney Hospital site and local health-care, and much more. The candidate should have good organisational, interpersonal and IT skills.
