Tower blocks by East Putney station : So, what should the heights of the East Putney tower blocks be? This is a question we should all be able to answer, if we think about it. We know what the developers want. Oracle proposes 25 and 19-storey towers of flats for their Putney Place development, opposite East Putney Station. The Hanly Group proposes a scheme including a 20-storey block of flats for their Capsticks/Carlton Drive corner site. But what do WE think? And what does our council think?

Gothic Lodge to go - The borough council has agreed that the interesting old house at the Upper Richmond Road entrance of Putney Park Lane, known as the Gothic Lodge, can be demolished - much to the dismay of all those who would want it to be retained and restored.
